Assistant Custodial Supervisor:
This position will help lead the day shift custodial team with the Wisconsin Union at Union South/Memorial Union. This position assists the Supervisor by leading 3 full time staff and about 8-12 part time student staff and TE's who are responsible for the daily cleaning operations of both the interior and exterior of the building to ensure the facilities are maintained in a clean, safe and orderly environment. Other responsibilities include assisting with scheduling, assigning project work, inspecting work to make sure it meets department standards, maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and provide training and support for the team.
The core schedule for this position will be Tuesday through Saturday 6:30am to 3pm, ability to flex outside of those days and times to work with, train and support the 2nd shift team and needs the ability to cover for team members as needed and for large or VIP events throughout the year (Graduation, Badger Bash, etc)

Compensation:
$21.41 per hour
+$2.50 per hour differential, for hours worked between 6pm - 6am
+$ .80 per hour differential, for hours worked on Saturday and Sunday
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Monitors and secures facility interior and exterior entrances, reports issues to appropriate entities
- Utilizes basic equipment and supplies to clean assigned facility areas and remove waste and recyclables
- Assists with planning and implementation of facility emergency and hazardous response policies and procedures
- Assists in the development, scheduling, inspection, and supervision of operational work plans and/or staff for an assigned unit
- Maintains clean and clear walkways to ensure they are free of debris, litter, snow, and ice
- Documents and reports repairs, violations, and pest control needs
- Maintains organization of supply areas and equipment, documents inventory, and requests additional supplies as needed

Required Qualifications:
-One year custodial experience.
-Experience in leading and guiding the work of others, preferably with the custodial filled.
-Basic English speaking and writing abilities.
-Basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
-6 months of Management and/or Supervisory Experience
-Experiences using Microsoft Word.
-Experience using Microsoft Excel.
Education:
High School Diploma - Preferred
