Responsibilities As a Senior Care Advocate you will be the face of Specialist Management Solutions (SMS) to our customers. You’ll deliver a personized, empathetic consumer experience as they navigate the complexity of the healthcare system. This will include answering questions and resolving issues in collaboration with teams across the company, healthcare providers, and insurance companies. You will be primarily engaging with our customers telephonically, but you will develop strong relationships with them as they complete their healthcare journey. Responsibilities Predominate amount of work surrounding calling members to inform them of their benefits and act as a care guide on behalf of the customer helping them receive treatment from a network of high-quality surgeons Receive inbound calls from members to educate them on their benefits and provide guidance with appointment scheduling Assist in the coordination of care across a variety of settings, while maintaining strict confidentiality and the highest level of professionalism Update all systems accordingly to document member engagement Listen to member’s comments, concerns, and suggestions, relaying that information internally, while ensuring member satisfaction Collaborate with other departments and partnering companies as necessary Work with health insurance counterparts to answer customer questions related to benefits, claims, and billing Analyze a variety of problems and provide information/solutions Work within a team to achieve performance targets Other responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Position Summary: Coordinates and advises on all aspects of the DME program, including insurance and billing. Assist patients with device fitting. Acts as a liaison between the staff, physician and DME Manager. Position Responsibilities/Standards: Fit patients with prescribed orthosis; including patient evaluation, modification and fitting, training the patient on fit and function, as well as answer any questions. Accurately input patient information and ensure correct durable medical equipment is dispensed within the Breg Vision system. Obtain all necessary authorizations as required by Medicare, Medicaid, Worker’s Compensation, or private insurance in order to fit and bill for each orthosis. Assist DME manager with daily DME office operations: including (but not limited to) ordering product, maintaining Special Order Binder, stocking and organizing product in the office. Review and monitor inventory levels for durable medical equipment items unique to the office at least two- three times weekly and provide order quantities needed to DME office lead. Assist with monthly inventory counts as instructed by DME manager. Keep track of surgery schedules for each physician in the practice and make sure that each patient has the required orthosis prior to surgery, or make arrangements for DME to fit post surgically. Also, assure that information for post-surgical application of other devices such as CPM machines are forwarded to the correct individual and confirm receipt. Act as the liaison between DME office and physicians on all matters involving communications, paperwork, etc. Attend all staff meetings and training. Any and all other duties required for DME to be successful with the practice and patients. USD $21.00/Hr. USD $31.50/Hr.
