Job description

What We're Looking For

We are looking for an Engineer to join the Candidate Quality (CQ) squad – which is a part of the broader Artificial Intelligence Platform Services (AIPS) department - to help with some of the most interesting and challenging problems SEEK faces. CQ is a large squad made up of data scientists, engineers, and product managers, tasked with identifying the best candidates and applicants for jobs posted on Seek. Engineers in this team are responsible for delivering Data Engineering solutions and deploying Machine Learning models (developed by our Data Science team) and maintaining security and monitoring performance of our services.

Our expectations for an Engineer include:

  • Great technical skills
  • Manages rapidly evolving designs and requirements
  • Works well with team members and stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Passionate about Cloud Engineering, Data Engineering and/or ML (Machine Learning)
  • Curious mind and strong problem-solving skills
  • Autonomy, responsibility and a clear sense of initiative
  • Focus on creating testable software, using standards and conventions to ensure quality

Qualifications

We are looking for the best engineer to join us – so we will consider applications from people who may not be a perfect match for our tech stack – but are willing to learn. It is important to have a strong background in software engineering and a keen interest in data engineering and/or ML ops.

Ideally you will have experience with:

  • Python
  • Java / Scala
  • SQL
  • AWS (EC2, lambda, SQS, SNS, Athena, CloudFormation etc)
  • CI/CD and DevOps
  • DataBricks
  • Spark
