Job description

As a Digital Product Owner in Claims, you play a pivotal role in shaping digital experiences that support customers at some of the most important moments in their lives. Working at the intersection of customer needs, business outcomes and technology, this role helps translate TAL’s purpose into meaningful, trusted digital solutions. By guiding the evolution of our claims products, you enable simpler journeys, faster outcomes and greater confidence for customers, partners and teams—contributing directly to TAL’s mission to protect what’s important and help Australians live their best lives.

In this role you will:

  • Shape a clear product vision that delivers meaningful customer outcomes and supports TAL’s strategic goals
  • Prioritise the right problems to maximise customer value, operational impact and return on investment
  • Lead discovery and delivery to turn customer insights into effective, data‑informed digital solutions
  • Optimise the product lifecycle by balancing innovation, performance, resilience and technical sustainability
  • Drive adoption and realised value through successful launches and continuous performance optimisation
  • Influence diverse stakeholders to align priorities, remove blockers and champion the product direction
  • Bring 5+ years’ experience in business analysis and/or product management within financial services or technology
  • Apply customer‑centred product thinking to shape digital solutions with clear benefits and value
  • Work confidently in agile environments, using iterative delivery and continuous improvement practices
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively to build strong relationships and influence outcomes across diverse stakeholders
  • Use data and insights to inform priorities and support sound product decisions
  • Guide and support others by sharing product practices, ways of working and critical thinking approaches
