Biophysical Characterization Scientist - Drug Product Formulation

The successful candidate will be joining the Eurofins, PSS team at a client site to support physical characterization for pharmaceutical products.

Analytical Chemist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Physical testing of samples to support pharmaceutical formulation development
• Data processing, interpretation and documentation
• Calibration and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment
• Laboratory support activities including weekly eye-wash checks, shipping, and chemical inventory.

The ideal candidate would possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or other related discipline with a minimum of three (3) years of industrial experience OR a Master's Degree with at least one (1) year of industrial experience
• Experience with physical characterization techniques such as Powder X-ray diffraction, thermal analysis, vibrational spectroscopy (FTIR, Raman) and/or microscopy
• GMP experience is preferred
• Experience with powder characterization techniques to measure particle size, powder flow, and surface area.
• Experience with laboratory automation tools
• Experience with Microsoft office products (Word, Excel)
• Ability to multi-task and be self motivated
• Ability to perform duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision

The position is full-time, first shift, Monday-Friday with overtime as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rahway, NJ are encouraged to apply.
