Assistant Director of Nursing /Infection Preventionist

Facility: Care Connection Rehabilitation Center Position: Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) / Infection Preventionist (IP) Location: Hazlet, NJ Schedule: Tuesday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Employment Type: Part-Time Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Position Overview

Care Connection Rehabilitation Center is seeking a skilled and dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing / Infection Preventionist to join our leadership team. This role focuses on overseeing infection prevention programs while supporting the Director of Nursing in daily operations and staff management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the infection control program, including antibiotic stewardship initiatives.
• Assist the Director of Nursing with daily operations and workflow management.
• Supervise nursing staff and conduct regular rounds to ensure high-quality resident care.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, facility policies, and HIPAA requirements.
• Participate in Quality Assurance (QA) programs and coordinate care across departments.

Requirements

• Active New Jersey RN license.
• Infection Control Certification and hands-on experience in infection prevention.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an ADON or Nurse Supervisor.
• CPR Certification required.
• Experience with PCC preferred.
