Purpose
The Sr. Payer Optimization Executive (Sr. POE) interacts with Managed Health Care Account Management Team, Field Sales Team and Marketing to develop and execute initiatives to increase sales and product market share by efficiently allocating resources to optimize payer market opportunities in specific geographies
Responsibilities
- Responsible for driving sales of assigned pharmaceutical products, within assigned geographies in alignment with the sales force. Analyze the Managed Care landscape, prioritize opportunities for Managed Care pull-through, and implement changes via field sales training, direct-to-physician training, and other methods deemed appropriate.
- Assess field sales capabilities, establish geographic targets and milestones, and allocate incremental resources provided by marketing teams in order to execute on managed care pull through strategies per geography.
- Responsible for creating, implementing and communicating strategic and tactical plans; monitoring progress and providing written and verbal feedback to all stakeholders.
- Work with Managed Health Care Account Management Team and sales force to optimize the value of payer contracts by leading the development and execution of pull through plans at the regional and local levels.
- Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required.
- Experience leading or working on cross-functional teams in the corporate office or field sales environment.
- A minimum of 3 years of sales management/leadership position or managed care experience.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting pharmaceutical products.
- Excellent organization/project management and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and inspire teams without direct authority. Demonstrated ability to network and partner effectively across functional areas. Demonstrated ability to influence others and is viewed as a credible and respected role model and resource among peers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. Advanced analytical skills to fulfill sales and marketing requirements.
- Documented success in leadership and support role of increased responsibility at the region and organizational levels.
- An essential requirement of your position is to satisfy all applicable health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities and organizations that are in your assigned territory. You must also be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain these credentials.
- These HCIR credentialing requirements may include, but are not limited to, background checks, drug screens, proof of immunization/vaccination for various diseases, fingerprinting and specific licenses required by individual state or cities. The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
