Overview:
The Insights product delivers teleconferences, surveys, and in-person events to Guidepoint’s institutional and corporate clients. Teleconference transcripts are housed in a searchable portal covering diverse industries and topics, helping clients make informed decisions. All content features Advisors from Guidepoint’s global network and are curated by former investors, sell-side analysts, and industry professionals.
As the Research Manager, Insights (India), you will lead a small pod of 2–3 Research Associates responsible for sourcing and recruiting experts for our teleconferences across sectors including technology, healthcare, consumer, industrials, energy, and financials.
This is a player-coach role. You will actively execute recruiting mandates while also driving team performance, pipeline health, outreach quality, and operational discipline. You will serve as the primary coordination point between the Associate team and the US-based moderator team, ensuring speed, quality, and advisor conversion.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment, enjoys managing people, and is motivated by building systems that improve recruiting yield and call completion rates.
What You’ll Do:
Execution & Quality Ownership
- Own end-to-end execution of high-priority teleconference topics, including sourcing and securing senior industry experts.
• Proactively monitor upcoming call pipelines to ensure advisor identification begins 1–2 weeks ahead of scheduled calls.
• Conduct outreach via LinkedIn, email, and phone to engage and convert qualified advisors.
• Develop and refine screening questions to assess subject matter credibility and ensure quality standards are met.
• Partner closely with moderators to align on advisor profile, vetting criteria, and urgency.
• Troubleshoot scheduling challenges and ensure smooth handoff to operations for call logistics.
Leadership & Team Management
- Directly manage 2–3 Research Associates working across APAC/EMEA/US hours
• Drive daily execution discipline including outreach volume, pipeline tracking, and response management.
• Review screening quality and advisor selection to maintain content standards.
• Monitor key metrics such as outreach-to-response rate, shortlist-to-confirm rate, and confirmed-to-completed call yield.
• Provide structured coaching on messaging, phone approach, objection handling, and senior-level engagement.
• Identify performance gaps early and implement corrective action plans.
• Standardize best practices across sourcing, CRM usage, and follow-ups.
• Ensure timely communication and transparency with US moderator teams.
What You Have:
- 2-4 years of professional experience in recruiting, lead generation, inside sales, research operations, or client service.
• Prior experience managing or mentoring junior team members.
• Comfort with high-volume outreach (cold calling and cold emailing).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with confidence engaging senior professionals.
• Ability to work in any of the following shifts APAC, EMEA, US (8.5 hours either starting 9 AM – 5 30 PM, or 5 PM to 1 30 AM IST)
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and execution discipline.
• Data-oriented mindset with the ability to interpret performance metrics and improve conversion rates.
• Proactive, ownership-driven, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
