About the Role
As an Engineering Project Manager, you will be responsible for the multiple deliverables of HARMAN’s next-generation audio platforms. You will be responsible for overall hardware and software scope management, forecasting, planning, and managing the end-to-end program delivery including manufacturing, outsourcing, and customer engagement; this includes not only new business models, operating models, product development, testing, and industrialization planning. You will also be responsible for managing costs, scope, timing, and quality to meet program goals of the planned new Business Unit implementations.
What You Will Do
Direct Deliverables to the Program include Scope Management, Schedule Management, Cost Management, Change Management, Quality Management,
Communication Management, to Stakeholders, Customers, and team, being accountable for ensuring communication of the customer requirements within the organization and interface with multiple groups to ensure the customer’s expectations are being met.
Provide program status and represent the program internally and externally to senior-level executives during program, quality, and operations reviews.
Setting Priority/Monitoring Progress/Control: set direction and influence cross-department engagement for program execution and drive synchronization across multiple program teams.
Resource staff plan; responsible for budget planning and forecasting for all active projects
Industrialization plan including build vs make study, engaging with Harman plants, procurement and sourcing.
Initial planning and scope development during the discovery phases of a project
Implementation and management of the HARMAN delivery systems
Responsible for initial project set-up and deployment readiness
Risk Management: Manage program risk proactively, identify program risks, and coordinate meetings with the PM and multi-discipline functions to address risks before they become issues.
What You Need to Be Successful
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
7+ years of automotive technical experience
5+ years, of program management, customer, and supplier relationships
Must have experience in the development of complex electronic systems
Must have expertise in driving complex projects and program deliverables
Proven communication skills to be able to articulate vision and influence decision-making outcomes with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and the customer.
Proven and effective communication, analytical, judgment, initiative, and execution skills.
Strong Business acumen, preferably with P&L experience
Bonus Points if You Have
Experience in consulting and/or client-facing roles
Experience in automotive and specifically Audio systems
Systems/software experience with complex development cycles that span multiple release versions
What Makes You Eligible

Be willing to work in an office in Novi. MI.
