Job Summary
- Seeking an Agile Developer responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of cloud-based applications and microservices supporting mission-critical systems
- This role involves end-to-end development across front-end interfaces, APIs, and backend data stores, leveraging modern frameworks, Dev Sec Ops practices, and cloud-native technologies
- The Agile Developer collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions aligned with system requirements and user needs
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full stack cloud-based applications and microservices
- Analyze user requirements to derive software design, functionality, and performance specifications
- Design and implement new software features and enhance existing applications
- Build and integrate backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot microservices architecture
- Develop and optimize data queries and interfaces for relational, No
SQL, and object-based data stores
- Integrate existing software into new or modified systems and environments
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues
- Develop and implement algorithms to meet system performance and functional requirements
- Support CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git Lab, Maven, Jenkins, and Nexus
- Assist in developing and executing automated test procedures and frameworks
- Write and maintain technical documentation, including system design and user documentation
- Collaborate with system engineers and stakeholders to analyze workflows, data usage, and system processes
- Provide recommendations to improve software development processes, documentation, and standards
- Serve as a technical lead, as appropriate, supporting team coordination and Agile development processes
- Design and implement complex database interfaces and data repository queries
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret clearance with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph within the last 5 years
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
- 9+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience
- Strong experience with:
- Java and modern Java frameworks
- Modern data stores (No
SQL, relational, and object-based)
- Demonstrated experience in full stack development, including front-end, API, and backend data stores
- Experience developing Spring Boot microservices and 12-Factor applications
- Familiarity with data serialization formats such as JSON and BSON
- Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working in cloud-native and containerized environments
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Spring Framework / Spring Boot
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform
- Experience with Swagger/OpenAPI for API design and documentation
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) managed services
- Knowledge of system requirements decomposition, release planning, and Agile methodologies
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, test automation frameworks, and Dev Sec Ops practices
- Familiarity with Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) and Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) solutions
