Job Description

ED Registration Clerks responsibilities include registering patients for ancillary departments, admitting inpatients, escorting patients and serving as liaison to physicians, nurses and other department personnel regarding registration/admission while working in a 24/7 high-volume, fluid environment.

Department: Patient Services

Hours: Part time, 20 hours/ week, Minimum two 3rd shifts per week (one 12-hour shift and one 8-hour shift)

Shift: 3rd shift

Required: HS Diploma

Pay: Based on experience, starting at $17.79

Location: Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center

ResponsibilitiesAssists in the transport of patients utilizing proper lifting techniques and appropriate equipment., Assists patients and visitors in and out of vehicles.  Assists with personal belongings and luggage.  Sometimes escorts patients to their appointments., Controls and keeps vehicle keys secure.  Documents customer name and location., Covers the Welcome Assistant job duties in the absences of a Welcome Assistant., Demonstrates appropriate customer service behaviors and acts as a productive/professional member of the department., Greets patients and visitors to the Health Center and often gives directions., Interacts with other hospitality service staff (Volunteers, Customer Service Representative, Security, etc.) to facilitate customer access to Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center services., Parks vehicles for customers of the Health Center and Medical Office Pavilion., Remains current on newly constructed areas, new physicians, and events within the Health Center.
