Web Developer

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Web Developer to join our Fleethub platform team. In this role, you will develop and maintain web applications that support core business processes and integrate closely with AWS‑hosted backend services.

You will work under the guidance of a Senior Web Developer and collaborate closely with AWS Application Developers and the Technical Lead / Scrum Master in a modern Agile delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using modern Java and frontend frameworks based on business and product requirements
• Maintain existing applications, including troubleshooting, bug fixes, refactoring, and performance improvements
• Develop backend services and APIs that integrate with AWS‑based systems

Integration & APIs

• Work with REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, and data formats such as JSON and XML
• Support event‑driven and message‑based integrations
• Assist in developing microservices aligned with architectural standards

Delivery & Collaboration

• Collaborate with Senior Web Developers, AWS Application Developers, and DevSecOps teams
• Work with global, cross‑functional teams
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices

Operational Support

• Assist in production support, incident resolution, and application maintenance
• Follow coding standards, security guidelines, and documentation practices

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline
• 3+ years of Java development experience
• Working knowledge of Java 8+ and frameworks such as Spring, Jakarta EE, or Quarkus
• Exposure to frontend frameworks like Docker Swarm, Amazon Elastic Kubernetes, ReactJS, Vue, Angular, or similar
• Understanding of REST APIs, SOAP services, JSON, XML, and integration concepts
• Familiarity with microservices architectures
• Experience working with CI/CD tools and Git‑based workflows
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to cloud platforms, containers, or orchestration technologies
• Basic knowledge of messaging systems (Kafka, ActiveMQ)
• Interest in learning new technologies
