About our property:

The Flamingo Resort & Spa is a mid-century marvel in The Valley of the Moon. The buildings, rendered with natural materials and iconic angular silhouettes, are the work of master architect Homer A. Rissman. Set on a 10-acre campus, it is an incomparable property for both its city access and sense of complete retreat.

What you will have an opportunity to do:

The Child Care Attendant is responsible for creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children while their parents utilize the The Club & Spa facilities. This role requires a caring and responsible individual who enjoys working with children and can effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor the safety of children in the designated child care area
• Create and maintain a positive, nurturing, and fun atmosphere for children of varying ages
• Organize and lead age-appropriate activities including games, crafts, and storytelling
• Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child’s time at the club
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the child care area in accordance with health and safety standards
• Follow all policies and procedures of the Club regarding child care and safety
• Handle emergencies calmly and appropriately according to established procedures
• Monitor check-in/check-out procedures to ensure child security

What are we looking for?

Qualifications

• Previous experience in child care, early childhood education, or related field preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift children and carry up to 40 lbs
• Ability to sit, stand, and interact with children on the floor for extended periods
• Must be able to react quickly to ensure child safety
