We’re partnered with a seed stage startup building an AI platform that automates wholesale operations for CPG brands, replacing spreadsheets, email chains, and manual workflows across ordering, freight, and reconciliation.

They’re hiring a founding engineer to own the AI agent layer, building systems that execute multi-step workflows across real supply chain tools (ERPs, 3PLs, retailer portals) in high-stakes, real world environments

What you’ll do

• Build agent systems that handle ordering, freight tendering, reconciliation, and exception handling end to end
• Design tool-use, planning, and retrieval systems that reliably interact with external systems and APIs
• Work with real customer data (orders, invoices, fulfillment data) to improve system performance
• Implement evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and feedback loops to ensure reliability in production
• Work directly with customers to map messy operational workflows into automated systems

What we’re looking for

• Experience building and shipping AI/ML systems in production
• Strong backend engineering skills (Python and/or TypeScript)
• Hands-on experience with LLM systems, agents, or RAG pipelines
• Comfortable working with real world data and debugging edge cases in production
• High ownership, able to operate in a fast-moving, startup environment
