Commercial Electrical Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Electrical Project Manager to oversee electrical projects from start to finish, ensuring exceptional quality, on-time delivery, and strong client satisfaction. This is a full-time, on-site position with regular travel to job sites. A company vehicle is provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all electrical project activities using estimates, plans, and proven project management methods.
  • Maintain and track critical project documentation, including RFIs, Change Orders, Submittals, and Transmittals.
  • Collaborate with Lead Electricians to coordinate material and tool procurement and ensure timely job-site delivery.
  • Review daily reports and act on relevant project information.
  • Communicate directly with clients and contractors to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Partner with the Owner and office staff to schedule jobs and assign electricians.
  • Support and communicate effectively with field electricians to maintain productivity and efficiency.
  • Provide estimates and proposals for change orders and oversee related client communication.
  • Perform site visits and work closely with the estimating team.
  • Participate in regular meetings with office staff and Lead Electricians.
  • Monitor project quality and ensure all project commitments are met.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of electrical field experience; on-site field experience strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to locations 1-2times a month. Locations include IN, UT, NC, FL, PA, DE, NY, and CT
  • Strong knowledge of electrical installations, safety practices, and national/local electrical codes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, redesign, and implement cost‑effective and code‑compliant solutions.
  • Prior experience in project management or construction management.

  • Professional appearance, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow up with clients and prospects in a timely and professional manner.
  • Strong problem-solving skills related to scheduling, billing, change orders, and field issues.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Skilled at identifying and communicating construction sequence conflicts.
  • Proficient with punch list management and field installation follow-up.
  • Comfortable working on-site with regular travel to job locations.

Qualifications

  • Complete and current knowledge of the electrical industry.
  • Understanding of construction and project management principles.
  • Bachelor’s degree not required.
  • 10+ years of electrical experience required.
