Duration: 12 Month extension possible based on needs and performance

Minimum Salary: $53.00 Per Hourly

Maximum Salary: $58.00 Per Hourly

Work Location: Hybrid-Flexible | Hicksville, NY 11801

Local to Long Island

Contract Analyst

This position will be remote or in-office as decided by client- a candidate must be willing to work under both conditions.

  • The Contract Analyst is responsible for Contract Management and Procurement of services and materials consistent with the needs of client Procurement Group.
  • Establishes and executes a strategy to source and manage storm and project contracts in compliance with client guidelines and federal regulations applicable to procurements using grant funds, such as those awarded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) (e.g., 2 CFR 200 et seq.).
  • Work with a cross-functional team that engages Government Contracts and Capital projects.
  • Develop, and implement RFPs, Purchase Orders, Contracts, Amendments, and Change Orders.
  • Complete administrative tasks and projects related to Procurement and Contract Administration.
  • Ensure accurate procurement planning, innovative sourcing, contract development, and contract administration while maintaining procurement policies and procedures compliance.
  • Manage the day-to-day administration of Contracts, Purchase Orders, and Coordinate with Project Teams between Suppliers, Contractors, Consultants, and the Company.

  • Conduct Pre-bid Meetings & Site Walk
  • Promote cost savings
  • Conduct market research and analysis
  • Supplier Management/ Vendor Relations
  • Supplier Diversity (MWBE & SDVOB)
  • Monitor and expedite PO/Contract deliverables
  • Monitor status via contact with customers and suppliers/contractors
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Additional most important attributes for candidates:
  • Proven ability to issue RFPs, perform bid analytics and draft recommendations to award documents.
  • Proven ability to negotiate contract terms/ amendments.
  • Proven work experience in Executing FEMA Compliant Contracts.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel is essential and may be tested during the interview process (if selected for interview)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Business or a related degree
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience including with executing Construction Services Contracts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Working knowledge of SAP, Ariba and Power Advocate software experience is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, organizational and team-building skills.
