Director of New Business (Experiential Marketing)
Confidential Opportunity
We’re working with a leading experiential marketing agency to identify a Director of New Business — someone who knows how to walk into a room, build instant credibility, and close.
This isn’t a sit-back-and-manage pipeline role. This is for someone who loves the hunt, thrives in live environments, and knows how to turn conversations into real revenue.
The Opportunity
You’ll own new business development across B2B and B2C experiential programs, with the autonomy to go after opportunities, build relationships, and win work.
You’ll be supported by a strong internal team — but this role is about leading from the front: opening doors, running the pitch process, and getting deals across the finish line.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Working the market — conferences, events, networking, outbound — wherever the opportunities are
- Building relationships with brands and decision-makers
- Leading RFPs and pitch processes from start to finish
- Owning and developing the written components of RFPs and proposals, particularly around operations, logistics, and execution strategy
- Partnering with internal creative teams while taking full ownership of the overall RFP response
- Developing smart, compelling proposals that win — both strategically and in writing
- Understanding and building experiential budgets (you know the numbers, not just the story)
- Running client calls with confidence and polish
- Closing business and driving revenue
What Makes You a Fit
- You have an electric personality — you’re someone people naturally gravitate toward
- You’re a true closer with a track record of winning new business
- You know the experiential/events/brand activation space
- You’re a strong writer who can clearly articulate operational plans, logistics, and execution within RFPs and pitches
- You’re comfortable owning the full sales cycle — no hand-holding
- You can read a room, adapt quickly, and move things forward
- You understand how experiential programs are priced and sold
- You’re proactive, driven, and love being out in the market
Compensation
- Base salary: $90K – $140K (depending on experience)
- Commission structure with strong upside
Why This Role
This is a chance to step into a high-impact, highly visible role where you can directly influence growth and build meaningful client relationships. If you’re someone who loves the energy of the industry, enjoys the chase, and takes pride in closing — and can back it up with strong, thoughtful written work — this is the kind of role where you can really make your mark.
