Senior Controls Engineer - Electrical Design & Automation

We're looking for a Senior Controls Engineer with strong electrical design and PLC/HMI experience to support full‑cycle automation projects, from design and documentation through commissioning and long‑term support. This role blends hands‑on engineering with light technical sales support and offers high visibility across engineering, operations, and customer-facing work.

What You'll Do

• Lead electrical & controls design for custom automation systems
• Create schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and documentation
• Program & debug PLCs, HMIs, motion control, drives, and servo systems
• Build hardware & software BOMs aligned with cost and vendor standards
• Perform on-site startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting
• Support pre‑sales scoping, customer communication, and technical proposals
• Maintain project documentation, change control, and schedule alignment
• Stay current on product lines, technologies, and market trends

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Hands‑on experience with PLC, HMI, and motion systems
• Strong communication skills with customer‑facing comfort
• Willingness to travel as needed
• Ability to deliver clean, accurate engineering work from concept to commissioning

About the Role

This is a full‑scope controls engineering position supporting OEM and industrial automation customers. You'll design, integrate, commission, and support control systems while contributing to standardized architectures, technical development, and overall project execution.
