Job Description

Demonstrates and delivers a distinguished and delightful customer service experience. Registers purchases using designated cash register, offers customers courteous, fair, welcoming, and efficient checkout support.

Roles and Duties

• Initiates interactions with customers and patients, offering aid and product guidance while resolving any concerns or inquiries for a favorable customer interaction.
• Acts as a role model in showcasing and distributing best practices in customer service to team members with the aim of offering a distinct and satisfying customer experience, which involves personal interactions like greetings, eye contact, politeness, and Walgreens' service attributes such as offering help preemptively, understanding customer needs, and ensuring satisfaction until completion.
• - Guarantees courteous, amiable, rapid, and proficient service for clients.
• Guiding customers on recommended purchase selections and recommending additional or upgraded products.
• Documents customer purchases accurately on the allocated cash register, handles cash transactions, and gives change as requested. Manages voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges according to store policies.
• Maintains cleanliness and orderly appearance of counters and shelves, monitors inventory levels, and records transactions accurately. Receives and prices items based on the store manager's requirements or information from the shift leader.
• Deploys asset protection procedures to recognize and mitigate potential financial setbacks.
• Ensures adherence to state and local laws in relation to regulated items, including alcohol and tobacco products.
• Handles the creation and upkeep of a variety of displays, including those for promotions, seasons, special structures, and items for sale. Executes resets and modifications as required.
• Helps in managing inventory by implementing stock rotation techniques and restocking items based on the first in, first out approach.
• Displays adeptness with store systems and equipment.
• Assists clients with their photography needs, including digital passport photo service, poster printing options, employing a creative machine, and suggesting promotional photo products.
• Handles the responsibility for web-based pickup tasks, supervising orders in Picture Care Plus, completing orders by gathering items, and delivering orders to customers when they arrive at the store.
• Helps to keep the store looking clean and organized by assisting with exterior and interior maintenance duties.
• Compliant with all corporate policies and procedures; upholds courteous relationships with coworkers.
• Carries through special tasks and additional assignments as directed.

Training

• Attends training events and successfully fulfills PPLs as directed by the Manager or specified by the corporate office.

Qualifications

• Competence in English, including reading, writing, and speaking, is a prerequisite
• Willingness to accommodate a variable schedule, including weekends and evenings, is essential for this position
• Candidates with a half-year of retail experience are preferred.
• Applicants with a background in Walgreens employment are prioritized.
• Aspire to master English reading, writing, and speaking skills, with an exception in Puerto Rico
• Candidates must be willing to work flexible hours, which may involve evenings and weekends.
• Applicants with prior arrests or convictions will be given fair consideration for employment.
