Software Engineer, Machine Learning Systems and Hardware Co-design

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize AI infrastructure and hardware acceleration techniques to design and optimize our ML systems that enhance Meta's products and user experiences.
• Set clear goals focused on project impact, AI system architecture, and infrastructure efficiency.
• Collaborate with partners to achieve significant impact through comprehensive data-driven analysis.
• Lead large-scale initiatives across various teams to foster integration and innovation.
• Define use cases and establish methodologies and benchmarks to assess different approaches.
• Leverage in-depth knowledge of ML infrastructure interactions with surrounding systems.
• Mentor fellow engineers and research scientists to elevate the overall quality of engineering within the team.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in one or more machine learning/deep learning areas, including hardware accelerators, GPU architecture, ML compilers, AI infrastructure, high-performance computing, and performance optimization.
• Proficient in developing AI system infrastructure or algorithms using C/C++ or Python.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with distributed systems or on-device algorithm development.
• Experience with recommendation and ranking models.
• Proven technical leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 4+ years of experience, or a PhD with 3+ years of experience in AI framework development or hardware acceleration of deep learning models.

Compensation

$74.04/hour to $217,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
