We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. .NET Developer to join our SBS technology team, focused on building and enhancing scalable, cloud-native applications that support payroll, HR, and workforce management solutions for small businesses. This role plays a key part in modernizing legacy systems and delivering high-performance, secure, and user-centric applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using .NET 6-8 / ASP.NET Core
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and microservices in a cloud-based architecture (AWS preferred)
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
• Contribute to modernization efforts, including migrating legacy .NET Framework applications to .NET Core
• Write clean, scalable, and testable code following best practices and coding standards
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and security
• Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipeline improvements, and DevOps practices
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues in a timely manner

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software development with strong expertise in C# and .NET 6-8
• Experience building web applications and APIs using ASP.NET Core
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and design patterns
• Experience with SQL Server or other relational databases
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services (App Services, Functions, Storage, etc.)
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of front-end frameworks (Angular, React, or Blazor)
• Exposure to event-driven architecture and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, Service Bus)
• Experience with authentication/authorization protocols (OAuth, OpenID Connect)
• Familiarity with payroll, HR, or financial systems is a plus
