Senior AWS Cloud Developer (Python)

Location: Washington, DC (Onsite – Local candidates only)

12+ months Contract

Overview

We are looking for a Senior AWS Cloud Developer with strong experience in Python and AWS services to support a cloud-native application.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using Python and AWS (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway)
• Build workflows using AWS Step Functions
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (CDK or Terraform)
• Develop and integrate REST APIs (Angular/React is a plus)
• Work with Docker and CI/CD pipelines
• Handle logging and monitoring using CloudWatch and CloudTrail
• Perform testing, debugging, and support Agile development

Required Skills

• 7+ years of software development experience
• Strong Python + AWS (serverless) experience
• Hands-on with Step Functions, Lambda, API Gateway
• Experience with IaC (CDK/Terraform), Git, CI/CD, Docker
• Basic frontend knowledge (Angular or React preferred)
