Position Overview:
As a Business Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for using knowledge of systems and business strategies to help maximize productivity and efficiency. Responsibilities will include analyzing systems and assisting with business administration activities for a variety of tools/applications. The primary responsibility for this role is to provide L2/L3 production support for DigiKey’s fulfillment and warehouse systems, including Manhattan WMOS 2018, WCS (Knapp). This role combines hands-on operational support, incident resolution, technical troubleshooting, and continuous improvement, ensuring system stability while proactively reducing technical debt and improving performance. Tasks will include, but are not limited to, system analysis, configuration and setup of assigned applications and supplementary programs, maintenance of configuration for applications, and testing upgrades as needed.Location: Thief River Falls, MN
5 days on site depending on business needs; working hours are dependent and spread across warehouse working hours – 7am-4pm, 10am-7pm, 12pm-9pm CST
Responsibilities:
Production Support & Operations
Provide L2/L3 support for fulfillment systems including WMOS, WCS, Integrations, shipping, and logistics platforms
Own and resolve support tickets with a focus on root cause analysis and long-term fixes
Monitor health system using dashboards, alerts, and logs to proactively identify and resolve issues
Participate in on-call support rotation and incident management as needed
Ensure SLA adherence and minimize operational disruptions
Work with SRE to develop self-healing automation to detect and remediate common failure scenarios
Application & Technical Support
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across:
Manhattan WMOS 2018 and Knapp or Any other MHE systems
.NET-based applications and services
Integrations with upstream/downstream systems
Analyze logs, database queries, interfaces, and batch processes to diagnose issues
Collaborate with MSO, CSO, LOE, infrastructure, database, and integration teams to resolve complex incidents
Continuous Improvement & Technical Debt Reduction
Identify recurring issues and propose permanent fixes
Work on technical debt reduction, refactoring, and system optimization
Improve monitoring, alerting, and support tooling
Create and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and support documentation
Business & Systems Analysis
Analyze current business processes and system behavior to identify improvement opportunities
Make recommendations using critical thinking and cost-benefit analysis
Partner with business and operations teams to align system behavior with operational needs
Support minor enhancements, configuration changes, and defect fixes
Collaboration & Knowledge Management
Participate in knowledge transfer and cross-training initiatives
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team skill development
Support vendor transition and insourcing initiatives as needed
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong hands-on experience with Manhattan WMOS 2018 and Knapp
Experience supporting warehouse management and fulfillment systems
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in production environments
Experience working with databases (SQL) and system integrations
Familiarity with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, ADOS, or similar)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting high-volume warehouse or distribution environments
Exposure to WCS (Warehouse Control Systems) and material handling integrations
Experience with monitoring tools, dashboards, and alerting platforms
Understanding of shipping, logistics, and fulfillment workflows
Experience with Agile or DevOps support models
Prior experience transitioning systems from vendor-supported to in-house teams
Physical Requirements:
- Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse, and screen Administration knowledge in various tools (Preferred)
- Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body
Compensation:
The base pay range for this position is:
$73,000to
$100,000Many factors influence the determination of base pay within a range, including the candidate’s work experience in related roles; the candidate’s knowledge, skills, capabilities, and performance; the relative pay of other DigiKey employees in similar roles; and the budget available for the position.
