The Broker Manager is responsible for driving individual Medicare attribution growth in partnership with assigned broker agencies and advisor distribution partners. As a key member of the market growth team, they collaborate with clinical and operations teams to develop and execute market-level growth strategies. This role requires close coordination with growth, marketing, local market leadership, and enterprise matrix partners to ensure successful outcomes.
Additionally, the Broker Manager supports Medicare Advantage (MA) attribution growth through the National Educate and Advise (E&A) call center, while leading local market execution of marketing and promotional campaigns on behalf of VillageMD. They are directly accountable for driving attribution growth with Select Local Broker Agencies and Advisors, aligning with VillageMD's value proposition and clinic-level growth strategy, as formulated and executed by the Director.
The Broker Manager will support the Director, MA Market Growth in developing local payor partnerships in coordination with local market leadership with whom they will identify and cultivate preferred local broker agencies and advisors aligning with markets, clinics and associated growth strategies and performance targets. To assure local market success, the Broker Manager is responsible for clinic-level readiness for AEP, OEP and Lockin/SEP for assigned geographies and clinics, including alignment on growth objectives and roles and responsibilities, understanding of growth strategy, channel distribution partners and intimacy of relationship between clinic staff and assigned agencies and advisors. The scope of performance accountability is for designated geographies and clinics within the market and assigned broker agencies and advisors.
This role will report directly to Director, MA Market Growth with responsibility to local market leadership.
How you can make a difference
Understand national and market-level MA attribution objectives and strategy
Accountable for achievement of personal MA Attribution growth objectives and execution of development of local market strategy in coordination with Director, MA Market Growth.
Assist in curating select broker agency – advisor partners for clinic-specific assignment
Facilitate the development of assigned broker agency – advisor growth strategy and tactical event and activity plans
Document executable local agency – advisor and assigned clinic project and performance management plans.
Responsible for timely and effective tactical execution of project management plans and achievement of incremental measurement of performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
Apply broker agency – advisor and clinic – level performance metrics and dashboards to drive broker agency and advisor performance on execution of plans to achieve individual growth objectives
Manage Broker Engagement Coordinator performance on execution of clinic– level broker agency and advisor strategy and tactical activities and events throughout AEP, OEP and Lockin/SEP
Apply strong leadership, training, analysis, problem-solving, teambuilding and coaching to optimize assigned broker agency and advisor performance
Work within market operating budgets supporting growth objectives and rigorously adhere to VillageMD compliance and expense policies and procedures
Advocate for VillageMD vision, mission and goals, supporting with strong understanding of VB PCP differentiation based on PCP centricity, 24/7patient access, pharmacist supported, team-based care Staywell model with proficiency in training and developmentand effectively facing out to payor and broker partners
Experience to drive change
Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred
3 + years in direct sales in health insurance, insurance broker or healthcare provider space with strong track record of measurable success
Experience in working in high-performance, accountable cultures and developing teams
Ability to inspire, train, and motivate broker agency -advisors and clinic team members to drive business results
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to apply data and analytics skills to broker agency – advisor, clinic and personal performance
Strong work ethic, uncompromising honesty and integrity
