The Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer is the subject matter expert (SME) for MDM/Intune and End User Computing (EUC) technologies. This role ensures secure, scalable, and reliable enterprise endpoint management while supporting the broader cloud, identity, and infrastructure landscape.
The engineer will lead the design, deployment, and operations of Microsoft Intune, M365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Azure cloud workloads, and on-premises datacenter infrastructure. This role also provides technical leadership, drives automation, and ensures compliance with corporate security standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. End User Computing (Primary Scope)
Serve as the SME for Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager (Windows, macOS, iOS/Android).
Lead configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management of endpoints.
Design and implement compliance policies, device configuration profiles, app deployment, and Windows Update for Business.
Maintain and optimize Autopilot, provisioning workflows, and automation.
Ensure endpoint security baseline alignment with corporate security policies (Defender, BitLocker, firewall, etc.).
Provide advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for endpoint issues.
2. Microsoft 365 Administration
Manage and support Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and other M365 services.
Implement and manage M365 security & compliance configurations (DLP, retention labels, ATP/Defender).
Support license management, tenant governance, and service optimization.
3. Identity & Access Management (Entra ID / Azure AD)
Administer Entra ID, hybrid identity infrastructure, and SSO integrations.
Manage Conditional Access, MFA, identity protection policies, and privileged identity management (PIM).
Maintain AAD Connect (if applicable) and hybrid identity health.
4. Azure Cloud Management
Support Azure IaaS, PaaS workloads, VM management, networking, monitoring, and security operations.
Implement Azure governance, policies, cost optimization, and resource hygiene.
Automate operational tasks using PowerShell, ARM/Bicep, or Azure automation tools.
5. On-Premises Infrastructure
Support VMware/Hyper-V virtualization, Windows Server, storage, and core network services.
Maintain AD DS, DNS, DHCP, GPO, and physical datacenter assets where required.
Participate in capacity planning, patch management, and infrastructure modernization projects.
6. Operations, Projects & Governance
Act as escalation point for L2/L1 infrastructure teams.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and architecture diagrams.
Lead or support cloud & infrastructure projects (migration, modernization, security uplift).
Participate in on-call standby to support globally.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent experience.
5–8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud, or end-user computing engineering roles.
Deep expertise in Microsoft Intune, endpoint provisioning, compliance, and security baselines.
Strong knowledge in Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, and Azure management.
Solid skills in Active Directory, group policies, Windows Server, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
Good understanding of security frameworks, Zero Trust, and endpoint protection concepts.
Preferred (Good-to-Have) Skills
Experience with SCCM/ConfigMgr migration to Intune.
Knowledge of Conditional Access governance and SSO integrations (SAML/OIDC).
Azure networking experience (VNet, VPN, firewall, load balancer).
Experience with MDM for macOS, Android Enterprise, Samsung Knox, or Apple Business Manager.
Certifications such as AZ-104, MD-102, MS-102, AZ-305, or similar.
