Junior Construction Project Manager

Main Responsibilities:

You will be supporting a more Senior Project Manager with the following tasks:

• Manage design and construction projects in either the public or private sector
• Manage and direct (external) designers and consultants
• Lead project meetings such as design reviews, cost reviews, kick-off meetings, progress meetings, and risk workshops
• Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, and reporting
• Identify and manage project risks, implementing appropriate mitigation measures
• Maintain open and transparent communication with internal and external stakeholders, including stakeholders within the client organization
• Manage and guide procurement and tender procedures, including the selection of contractors
• Direct and assess contractors on scope, (additional) costs, planning, and HSSE performance
• Ensure that all activities comply with applicable safety, quality, and operational requirements
• Actively promote and uphold AECOM’s HSSE and ethical standards across all locations
• Ensure safe delivery and compliance with HSSE requirements
• Take ownership for Contract Management and internal/external KPIs
• Ensure Delivery of scope in line with AECOM Contract
• Support in drafting the Project Execution Plan and in Coordinating project’s stakeholders: management, client, designers, contractors, etc.
• Information Management & Document Control
• Update and issue risk register including mitigation measures
• Review change orders and monthly invoicing from contractors
• Report to the project manager

• A completed degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Fluency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken. French is a plus.
• Valid Category B driving license.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex projects.
• A true team player with clear, effective, and goal-oriented communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and MS Project.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the Benelux.
• VCA certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Fluent in Dutch and English
• Technical background in Construction or knowledge in MEP is a plus
