Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide HR consultation to a specific market, acting as a point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related matters.
- Partner with business leaders to define and execute HR strategies that align with business objectives and key initiatives.
- Support the recruiting process, including job postings and screening resumes.
- Maintain accurate employee records in Dayforce.
- Collaborate with business leaders to have difficult conversations and help leaders through complex HR situations.
- Navigate complex Employee Relations matters including investigations.
- Manage policies, activities, and staff of the HR department for assigned market or region.
- Assist with analyzing HR data to identify trends, track performance, and inform decision-making.
- Guide, train, and direct managers and employees on appropriate federal and state legal compliance (FMLA, ADA, EEOC, etc.).
- Collaborate with HR Directors to develop and implement talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies for their market.
- Support cyclical HR processes including performance management, compensation planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Assist in identifying and addressing long-term HR challenges and opportunities with HR leadership.
- Plan, execute, and manage HR projects effectively for assigned business area.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; communicate policies and practices.
- Build relationships across all levels of the organization and influence stakeholders on HR matters.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher required.
- 8+ years of Human Resources-related experience.
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- Mentor mentality to support more junior HRBPs.
- Basic understanding of business operations, financial performance, and competitive landscape.
- Strong ability to plan, execute, and manage HR projects effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with proven ability to lead difficult conversations at all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems; experience with Dayforce preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly Excel.
- High level of integrity and discretion, with demonstrated experience handling confidential and sensitive information responsibly.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
