Job description

Who we are?
At Torrens University Australia, we don’t just enrol students, we change life trajectories. As a Certified B Corporation, we’re part of a global movement using business as a force for good. We believe in the transformative power of education to change lives, families, communities – and the world.

What really sets us apart is this: we operate in a considered purchase market. Choosing a university is a big decision, and we’re looking for people who can influence, guide, and support students with care, credibility, and impact.

What’s the job?

This is not a desk-based role!

This is a high-energy, field-based position where your pipeline starts in classrooms, career expos, and school auditoriums—not in a CRM. You’ll be the face of Torrens across high schools in your region, building meaningful relationships with students, parents, and career advisors.

Day-to-day accountabilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver engaging, high-impact presentations to high school students

  • Represent Torrens at school visits, expos, and events

  • Generate and qualify leads in live environments

  • Build and manage your own pipeline from first interaction through to enrolment

  • Follow up with prospective students via phone, email, text, and virtual consultations

  • Guide students and families through a considered decision-making journey

  • Consistently achieve and exceed enrolment and conversion targets

  • Partner with internal teams to ensure a seamless student experience

This is a permanent, full-time role with travel required across your allocated region. This position is based in Sydney, NSW.

Who you are:

  • You’re someone who thrives on energy, connection, and results.

  • You may come from field sales, high-performance B2C sales, or any role where influencing people and building trust is key. What matters most is how you show up and deliver.

  • Bring energy into every room and leave a lasting impression

  • Are a confident communicator and natural storyteller

  • Build trust quickly with students, parents, and stakeholders

  • Are comfortable managing longer sales cycles and nurturing decisions over time

  • Are target-driven and motivated by achieving results

  • Take ownership of your pipeline, performance, and outcomes

You’ll also have:

  • Experience in sales, lead generation, or high-engagement customer-facing roles

  • Confidence presenting to groups

  • Strong follow-up and pipeline management skills

  • CRM experience (Salesforce preferred)

  • A current NSW Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

  • A valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle

Why join us?
Bold, modern, and agile, we’re Australia’s fastest-growing university. As we continue to scale nationally and globally, we remain deeply student-centric and purpose-driven.

Joining Torrens means being part of a high-growth organisation where you can shape futures—not just sell a product. You’ll have real opportunities for career progression, ongoing development, and the chance to make a meaningful impact every day.

What we offer:
We support your development, wellbeing, and career growth, including:

  • Free study in a course aligned to your role

  • A purpose-led organisation as a Certified B Corporation

  • Career progression and internal mobility opportunities

  • A high-performance culture that values impact and individuality

  • A collaborative and supportive team environment
