Job description

•Review and process Part Number requests and material creation/extension tasks.

•Lead, mentor, and guide master data team members in daily operations.

•Allocate workload and monitor performance to meet customer/stakeholder needs.

•Interpret engineering drawings and extract material/BOM requirements.

•Create/maintain Material Masters, Assembly BOMs, Manufacturing BOMs, and Routings in SAP.

•Validate data accuracy using standard validation and BOM‑drawing checks.

•Coordinate with buyers, planners, and drawing offices for lead times and technical inputs.

•Track errors, maintain experience database, and support corrective actions.

•Manage and balance workload and forecast own job lead-times to meet Customer/Stake holder requirements.

•Maintain SOPs, validation checklists, and training documents for the team.

•Collaborate with other Team Leads and the Data Manager on team objectives and priorities.

•Ensure accuracy, completeness, and first‑time‑right quality for all master data.

•Deliver all SAP master data requests within agreed SLAs.

•Maintain alignment between engineering drawings and SAP BOM structures.

•Uphold data governance standards, compliance, and documentation.

•Ensure effective communication with stakeholders regarding request status and requirements.

•Drive continuous improvement in processes, templates, and data quality.       

•Communication skills - Should be of high Standards to interact with International Stake holders & internal customers

•Good in understanding and reading drawing capabilities.

•Liaise with respective Stake holder and drawing offices.

•Support safe workplace cultures and compliance with Smiths EH&S.

•BE/ DME/Any Graduate or equivalent with min 06-10 years overall related experience.

•SAP Master Data creation & MS Excel is Plus.
