Job description
Join us and experience Bunnings from the other side of the counter!
What’s in it for you when you’re part of our team:
Team discount at Bunnings and other Wesfarmers brands including Kmart
Access to over 100+ exclusive team member benefits across health, shopping, travel and stay, wealth, work and leave
12 weeks paid parental leave, regardless of gender
Fun stuff like annual festive gifts, discounted food and drinks at our Bunnings Cafe, and travelling store team member opportunities
We’re genuinely invested in your career and no matter where you start with us, that pathway is yours to build
About the role:
Build on where you’ve come from in a role that keeps our Trade teams moving and our customers supported. As an Estimator Support Admin, you’ll play a key part in how information flows between suppliers, stores and Account Managers — helping translate external details into clear, accurate Bunnings product solutions.
You’ll join a collaborative Trade Support Team where accuracy, teamwork and learning go hand in hand. With experiences invested in your future, this is a role that builds strong foundations in product knowledge, systems and construction terminology — inspiring you to give it a red hot go.
What’s involved:
This role focuses on accuracy, organisation and translating information so others can deliver great customer outcomes. You’ll have opportunities to:
Review and check estimates prepared by external parties or internal teams, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Translate supplier terminology and product information into Bunnings SKUs, ranges and equivalents
Prepare and maintain estimator packs so stores and Account Managers can confidently present options to customers
Work with plans, schedules and product lists, building your understanding of construction language and materials
Support the Trade Support Team with day‑to‑day administrative tasks that keep the estimating process running smoothly
Liaise with internal stakeholders to clarify information and resolve discrepancies
Build your product and systems knowledge through on‑the‑job learning and exposure to external suppliers
Your work will directly support stores, Account Managers and customers nationwide — making a real impact every day.
About you:
You enjoy working behind the scenes to make sure everything lines up. You’re methodical, detail‑focused and comfortable working with technical information, even when it needs translating into something more practical and customer‑friendly.
You like being part of a supportive team, communicate clearly and aren’t afraid to ask questions to get things right. You bring a positive, can‑do mindset, enjoy learning and take pride in producing accurate, well‑organised work that helps others succeed.
What you’ll need
Strong administration skills with excellent attention to detail
Confidence working with product data, lists or technical information
A basic ability to read and interpret building plans
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
An interest in building products and construction (knowledge is an advantage, not essential)
Exposure to estimating, quantity surveying or construction admin is helpful but not required
Understanding of NZ building regulations is useful, but not mandatory
Nau mai, haere mai - you’ll be part of a workplace where you’ll feel like you belong.
