Work, Play and Grow at BlackLine! Make Your Mark: As a Senior EMEA Payroll Specialist you will be a multi-tasker with a broad skillset who thrives in a challenging, high-growth environment. Managing multiple payrolls across our EMEA locations, you will ensure every employee is paid accurately and on time while maintaining a strict "audit-ready" environment. This role is designed for a technical expert who balances payroll precision with a passion for process improvement You'll Get To: Operational Leadership: Manage operational activities for 14+ European payrolls in collaboration with the Payroll Manager. End-to-End Ownership: Lead the full payroll lifecycle, from input preparation to final review and approval. Vendor Management: Hold external payroll providers accountable for accuracy, timeliness, and meeting established SLAs. Process Excellence: Identify and implement opportunities to professionalize the payroll function and enhance employee experience. Compliance & Audit: Collaborate with Internal Audit to ensure rigorous SOX compliance and maintain a clean audit trail. Finance Partnership: Work closely with the accounting team on month-end accruals (including vacation) and ensure seamless GL mapping and reconciliation . Expert Support: Act as the primary escalation point for complex employee queries and provide expert guidance on regional payroll matters. Year-End Mastery: Ensure all statutory year-end tasks and filings are completed accurately and within legal deadlines. Legislative Monitoring: Stay current on local payroll legislation changes to ensure ongoing compliance across all jurisdictions . What You'll Bring: 10+ Years of Experience: Proven track record in EMEA payroll, with specific expertise in the UK, Netherlands, France, Germany, Poland, and Romania. Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of European statutory requirements, social security frameworks, and labor laws. Equity & Comp Expertise: Experience processing complex commissions, bonuses, and stock-based compensation ( RSU, Stock Options, ESPP ). Systems Proficiency: Highly proficient in CloudPay , MS Office, and advanced Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables). Accounting Fluency: Direct experience with General Ledger (GL) mapping and payroll-to-accounting reconciliation. Mindset: A "team-first" attitude with the ability to influence stakeholders in HR, Legal, and Global Finance. Organization: Proven ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment with meticulous attention to detail.
