Overview MasTec Civil is currently hiring for an hourly Motor Grader Operator Foreman to join our team in Jacksonville / St. Augustine, FL. Oversees and performs motor grader operations while leading a crew to ensure precise grading, site preparation, and adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and production schedules. Responsibilities Coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery, and personnel. Sustain daily safety meetings with all crew members at the beginning of each different job activity. Clarify and explain, as needed, to all crew members the construction means and methods to be utilized during daily job activities. Delegating individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors Providing adequate resources and staffing to meet project schedules, laws, regulations, best practices, and safety needs. Emphasizing the safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment while providing training on safety gear, helmets, and procedures Resolving conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably Regularly reporting project status to supervisors. Ensuring a clean and organized work area and improving and maintaining good housekeeping practices. Qualifications Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to oversee and coordinate a variety of people in different roles. Ability to read and understand drawings and plans. Thorough understanding of legal requirements relating to construction and building sites. Thorough understanding of quality building practices. Ability to quickly identify problems and efficiently solve them.
