Job description

Primary Purpose of the Job Develop / review & endorse all Instrumentation, Automation Systems provisions for all QatarEnergy infrastructure projects and associated facilities in the Industrial Cities. Facilitate the development and execution of End-Users/Investors/Tenants Projects in terms of the Instrumentation, Automation and ELV engineering aspects (through Technical Submission Review and Approval process) including modifications/upgrade of existing facilities in Off-Plot Common Corridor area, On-Plot, Ports, Community and Support Services Areas during the design and construction phases of these projects. Coordinate with QatarEnergy Technical /Engineering departments, End-Users/Tenants/Investors and other Stakeholders to formulate necessary concepts and project execution plans to ensure that development / project execution is in line with the Industrial Cities Regulations, Guidelines, Procedures and Standards. Liaise with contractors, utilities, authorities and consultants to ensure that Infrastructure Projects adhere to QatarEnergy and international standards and policies. Responsible for all tasks related to project life cycle ranging from project initiation till close-out / hand over to fulfil the Instrumentation Engineering discipline requirements. Required Experience and Skills • 10 - 12 years of hand-on Engineering, Construction and Commissioning experience within the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Industry • Strong working knowledge on Instrumentation, Automation & ELV Systems • Excellent Project Management & Engineering and supervisory skill is preferable. • Fluent Oral & written English with strong presentation, lobbying and influencing skills. • Working knowledge of MS Office applications (including MS Project) and other integrated Instrumentation Design / Application Software (In TOOLS, MATLAB, CV Calculation, etc.). • Strong “team player” and comfortable in working with a broad range of external parties. • Ability to work with limited supervision, exercising a high degree of self-motivation and discipline under tight schedules using strong organizational and time-management skills. Educational Qualifications Internationally recognized degree in Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering.
