Position Overview The Associate Retail Merchandiser for Grenoble & Genius is responsible for driving assortment strategy and commercial performance across two of the brand’s most distinctive pillars. This role oversees both Men’s and Women’s Grenoble collections—spanning high-performance ski, technical outerwear, and elevated après-ski—alongside Genius, the brand’s innovation and collaboration platform. The position translates global product vision into targeted, high-performing retail assortments that reflect brand elevation, client expectations, and regional opportunities. With a strong focus on driving topline growth and optimizing sell-through, the Associate Retail Merchandiser partners cross-functionally with Planning, Allocation, Visual Merchandising, Retail, CRM, and Training teams to deliver a consistent, elevated, and client-centric experience across the network. This role plays a critical part in shaping regional assortment strategy and directly impacting retail performance across key product pillars. Your Impact Seasonal Buying & Assortment Strategy Contribute to seasonal buying in Milan, aligning regional needs with global merchandising and product strategy. Leverage pre-season hindsight and performance analysis to define investment strategy and inform buy decisions. Partner with Planning and Allocation to manage Open-to-Buy and refine category and store-level assortment balance. Build tailored assortments by store cluster, ensuring alignment with client profiles, capacity, and regional priorities. Balance brand storytelling with commercial performance to drive productivity across categories. Collaborate with Visual Merchandising to translate assortment priorities into impactful in-store presentations and launches. In-Season Performance Management Monitor weekly sales performance across stores, categories, and SKUs; identify opportunities and implement corrective actions. Maximize sell-through and revenue. Partner with Retail teams to execute commercial actions that sustain momentum and capture opportunities. Ensure assortments remain aligned with brand strategy while adapting to local market dynamics. Support key retail activations, including VIC appointments, pop-ups, trunk shows, and special events. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with Retail Management to align assortments and product messaging with store KPIs. Collaborate with Visual Merchandising and Allocation to support product launches and enhance floor presentation. Provide actionable feedback to Global Merchandising and Product teams on regional performance, client insights, and assortment opportunities. Work with CRM and Training teams to develop product knowledge tools and support client engagement initiatives. Support new store openings through assortment planning, launch strategy materials, and delivery execution. Performance Reporting & Market Insights Deliver clear, data-driven reporting on business performance, highlighting key drivers, risks, and opportunities. Conduct competitive analysis and monitor market trends to ensure assortments remain relevant and differentiated. Develop and present product and performance insights to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. Create compelling product presentations to support alignment and execution across store teams. Professional Conduct and Teamwork Demonstrate a collaborative, team-oriented approach, actively supporting activities that contribute to overall business goals. Foster a positive and respectful work environment, encouraging open communication and cooperation across teams and with management. Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in business, merchandising, or a related field preferred. Experience Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail merchandising or buying, preferably within a luxury environment. In lieu of luxury experience, merchandising or buying experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment will be considered. Proven experience in seasonal buying, assortment planning, and in-season trading. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including PivotTables, INDEX/MATCH, and VLOOKUP), PowerPoint, and related tools. Core Skills & Attributes Strong merchandising acumen, with the ability to balance brand equity and commercial objectives. Deep understanding of luxury retail, with exposure to technical product, outerwear, and designer collaborations. Advanced analytical skills, including strong proficiency in Excel and retail math. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders. Comfortable presenting in-store and to large groups, with the ability to engage and inspire retail teams. Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Travel: Approximately up to 10% domestic and international travel. Compensation and Benefits For individuals hired to work in New York, Moncler includes a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $70,000 to $85,000 per year In addition to competitive pay, the hired candidate will also be eligible for an annual, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, paid parental leave, 11 paid holidays, accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation time, 2 personal days, 2 community service days, employee discounts, and a retirement plan with employer contribution.
