Business Intelligence Senior Analyst

We are seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Senior Analyst to contribute to our data strategy and elevate our analytical capabilities using Power BI.

This role, as part of Finance Business Partnering and FP&A, is responsible for:

• Translating complex data into actionable business insights.
• Designing and maintaining robust Power BI architectures and reporting suites.
• Bridging the gap between technical data infrastructure and business decision-making.

You will build scalable data models, support data-driven growth, and work closely with other departments to ensure the company has the visibility required to optimize performance and drive strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Power BI Development & Architecture

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Power BI reports and interactive dashboards.
• Build and optimize sophisticated DAX measures for complex business logic and KPIs.
• Develop scalable data models (Star Schema/Snowflake) that ensure "one version of the truth" across the organization.
• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and manage workspaces, apps, and permissions within the Power BI Service.

Data Engineering & Integration

• Develop and optimize Power Query (M) transformations to ingest and clean data from diverse sources (ERP, CRM, SQL databases, Excel).
• Collaborate with IT to influence the design of data warehouses and underlying SQL views to support BI requirements.
• Oversee data refresh schedules and monitor gateway performance to ensure 100% data reliability.
• Troubleshoot data discrepancies and perform root-cause analysis on data quality issues.

Business Analysis & Insights

• Strongly contribute to the department role of strategic partner to management from various departments and entities, to identify reporting needs and define KPIs.
• Translate non-technical business requirements into technical specifications for BI solutions.
• Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction or revenue growth.
• Provide training and documentation to empower end-users with self-service analytics capabilities.

Strategy, Governance & Innovation

• Establish and maintain BI best practices, including version control, documentation, and naming conventions.
• Define the roadmap for data analytics, ensuring alignment with the broader business strategy and IT infrastructure.
• Stay current with Power BI monthly updates and emerging AI/ML features to drive continuous improvement.
• Lead the transition from static reporting to predictive and prescriptive analytics.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) is highly preferred.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analysis, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Proven track record of delivering end-to-end Power BI solutions from data extraction to executive-level visualization.
• Experience working with ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, NetSuite) is an asset.
• Previous experience in a "hands-on" senior role within an entrepreneurial or medium-sized global organization.

Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills:

• Expert Power BI: Advanced DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling expertise.
• SQL Mastery: Strong ability to write and optimize complex queries to extract data.
• Data Visualization: Mastery of UI/UX principles to create intuitive, clean, and impactful dashboards.
• Excel: Advanced proficiency (Power Pivot, VBA is a plus) for ad-hoc analysis.

Business & Soft Skills:

• Analytical Mindset: Able to connect data points to real-world business outcomes like margin analysis and product lifecycle analysis.
• Communication: Excellent ability to explain technical data concepts to non-specialists and senior leadership.
• Project Management: Highly organized and able to manage multiple reporting projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying data gaps and proposing creative technical solutions.
• Strong written English and communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Available to work Hybrid from Toradex Office in Campinas/SP
