Supply Chain and Project Management Coordinator - US Healthcare Business Unit
Key Responsibilities
Procurement
- Issue purchase orders for materials and components to align with production needs and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Gather supplier quotations and assist in vendor selection, focusing on cost, quality, and delivery efficiency.
- Track open purchase orders and proactively follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain comprehensive purchasing records and transactions using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Support initiatives aimed at cost reduction and enhancing supplier performance.
Production Support
- Evaluate material availability for upcoming production jobs.
- Assist in preparing and releasing job travelers, work orders, and production documentation.
- Collaborate with warehouse personnel to ensure efficient picking and staging of materials for production.
- Communicate any potential material shortages or delivery delays to the production teams.
- Work closely with production and warehouse teams on the shop floor to verify material availability and address shortages.
- Take ownership of material availability for assigned production orders to prevent disruptions in manufacturing schedules.
Inventory Control
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with reorder planning to avert shortages.
- Ensure accuracy of inventory transactions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Support cycle counting and inventory reconciliation efforts.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions.
- Contribute to initiatives reducing excess or obsolete inventory and improving turnover.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate the end-to-end delivery of small-scale containment equipment, including Pass Boxes, Glassware hoods, and Ventilated Balance Enclosures.
- Act as the primary contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status.
- Review and submit documentation, including General Arrangements and Factory Acceptance Tests.
- Engage in lessons-learned reviews upon project close-out and enhance the knowledge base.
Qualifications
Education
A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Accounting, or a related field is preferred. An Associate degree accompanied by relevant experience may also be considered.
Experience
A minimum of 4 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, manufacturing, or inventory control is preferred.
Skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or a similar ERP system.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office tools, and Microsoft Project (preferred).
- Understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs), purchasing processes, and inventory management.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
