Job description
Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Senior Cloud Hybrid Network Engineer to design, implement, and operate secure, resilient hybrid-cloud network architectures supporting government customers. This role focuses on SDN, zero-trust, automation, and AWS networking while operating in classified multi-network environments.
What Success Looks like:
- Resilient SDN-based connectivity across hybrid classified networks
- Documented architectures and network models traced to implementation
- Identity-based networking with zero-trust, micro segmentation, policy-driven connectivity
- Network configurations delivered via GitOps/IaC with observability and compliance gates
- Seamless collaboration across network, security, and platform teams
What you’ll do:
- Network Architecture & Engineering
- Design and troubleshoot complex hybrid topologies across cloud and on-prem
- Engineer SDN, segmentation, routing, load balancing, and service mesh patterns
- Implement identity-based dynamic networking (ZTNA, microsegmentation)
- DevOps & Automation
- Apply CI/CD, GitOps, and IaC to network resources (Terraform/Ansible)
- Integrate network workflows with developer platforms and service catalogs
- Implement automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Cloud Networking
- AWS VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, PrivateLink, SGs/NACLs
- Hybrid connectivity patterns for classified and unclassified networks
- Optimize performance, reliability, and cost of network architectures
- Security & Compliance
- Implement NIST 800-53, DISA STIGs, zero-trust, encryption, and access controls
- Operate in NIPR/SIPR/JWICS or equivalent
- Participate in audits, ATO processes, and accreditation
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Operate within SAFe Agile ceremonies
- Drive standards and mentor engineers
- Document decisions, runbooks, and diagrams
Ideal Technical background:
- AWS networking: VPC, TGW, DX, PrivateLink, SGs/NACLs
- Zero-trust networking, microsegmentation, identity-based access
- Automation with Terraform, Ansible, Python/Bash/PowerShell
- GitOps workflows with GitLab/GitHub
- Kubernetes networking preferred
What you’ll need:
- 6 years of network engineering experience
- 3 years of hybrid-cloud networking engineering
- Experience with SDN, segmentation, routing, and load balancing
- Proven work in classified multi-network environments
Bonus Points if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Knowledge of accreditation frameworks
- AWS Advanced Networking Specialty
- Cisco CCNP/CCIE; PCNSE; Security+
- Experience with SD-WAN, NFV, service mesh, container networking
- Experience with advanced traffic analysis and observability
- Experience with API-driven network automation
Clearance:
Must have an active Top Secret level security clearance; SCI preferred
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
