Location: Staunton, VA - In-Office
Your Responsibilities:
- Work in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws
- Perform compliance reviews, general risk assessments, JSA and other safety assessments to support EHS program
- Develop controls for identified hazards, coordinate the implantation of controls from the result of hazard assessment
- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of corrective and preventive measures, policies, and procedures and recommend changes that reflect improved opportunities to eliminate workplace accidents and injuries
- Maintain relevant EHS logs and documentation assuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
- Conduct regular safety and environmental inspections and audits of facilities and equipment to identify and address hazards and risks
- Communicate EHS programs, policies, and procedures as needed, providing advice and assistance to managers, supervisors, and employees to ensure that all EHS programs are implemented and effective
- Conduct new employee orientation training
- Ensure that contractors/vendors working on site are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Prepare EHS reports and presentations
- Support supervisors and managers in incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Track, trend, and report identified KPIs to site/corporate leadership
- Analyze EHS data, trends, and metrics to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions
- Maintain EMS (ISO 14001) and SMS (ISO 45001) document control and systems
- Drive Daikin’s goal of zero (accidents, emissions, etc.)
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EHS regulations, standards, and best practices
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety or related field; or equivalent experience
- 4-6 years of experience

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $80,400 to $136,800 + 10% bonus eligibility in VA. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
