Location: Auckland (Upper North Island & Technical Services Divisions)
About the Role
We’re looking for a Strategic Asset Manager to take the lead on managing our capital assets across their full lifecycle, from onboarding to disposal, and support our enterprise asset management system.
You’ll work closely with divisional leaders to ensure our vehicle fleet, plant, equipment and infrastructure assets are delivering value while remaining safe, reliable and cost-effective.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive proactive, data-led maintenance strategies across mobile and fixed assets
- Support the implementation and ongoing management of our JDE Capital Asset Management system
- Ensure maintenance plans align with company H&S standards, budgets and compliance requirements
- Partner with asset owners to:
- Maintain and improve asset availability and condition
- Monitor and report on whole-of-life cost, preventative maintenance, and replacement schedules
- Deliver timely insights and reports for performance improvement
- Collaborate with IT and Technical teams to align asset care with new technology and innovations
About You
We’re looking for a forward-thinking, technically minded leader with:
- A tertiary qualification in a technical or engineering discipline (mechanical preferred)
- Solid experience in:
- Asset management (especially fleet and/or fixed plant)
- Reliability engineering & maintenance (R&M)
- Project management across complex operations
- Strong influencing and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
- A mindset for continuous improvement and challenging the status quo
- The ability to manage competing deadlines, make sound decisions under pressure and keep sight of the long-term goals
