Position Summary

The Events Manager reports to the Senior Director of Medical and Special Events. The role of the Events Manager is to plan and implement key events designed to cultivate, maintain, and strengthen ties to the University. Oversee or assist with all aspects of event planning.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, manage, and provide assistance as needed for special events in University Advancement including but not limited to, revealing ceremonies, Assembly Series lectures, and University memorials. Assist the Director of Medical and University Events on Commencement ceremonies. Work with university partners, staff, and faculty to facilitate engagement, and, when applicable, cultivation and stewardship through events.

  • Oversee event planning related activities including but not limited to contract negotiations and management, reserving event space, work with project coordinators to create and design invitations and other communications materials, overseeing data for invitation lists, coordinating and supervising mail house projects, creating timelines, establishing logistical plans, securing speakers, creating seating plans, assisting with talking points and on-site logistics.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Range

$53,100.00 - $90,600.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
