About this role:

The Data Engineer will provide technical expertise in designing and building a modern data warehouse in Azure Cloud to meet shifting organizational demands. You will engage in modernization activities to design and implement new applications utilizing Azure Data Factory and Synapse in Azure Cloud. You will be part of the Data Analytics team, bringing data from multiple sources into the data warehouse.
 

What you’ll do: 

• Responsible for reviewing and analysis of business requirements and design technical mapping document
• Build new ELT/ETL using Azure Data Factory and Synapse
• Design, develop and maintain complex database objects including Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, and Triggers to implement business logic.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks notebooks, PySpark, and Data Live Tables (DLT).
• Designing, building, and maintaining interactive data visualizations, reports, and dashboards with Microsoft Power BI
• Collaborate on Data warehouse architecture and technical design discussions
• Perform and participate in code reviews, peer inspections and technical design and specifications, as well as document and review detailed designs
• Maintain Service Levels and department goals for problem resolution.

What you’ll need:

Strong IT professional with 2–4 years of experience in Database Engineering & Analytics. The candidate should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

       Must have:

• 2–4 years of experience in Data Engineering & Analytics with a bachelor’s degree (Computer Science or a related field preferred).
• Understanding of dimensional and relational modeling.
• Understanding of BI/DW development methodologies (Kimball/Inmon).
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory.
• Hands-on experience with Synapse or similar MPP data platforms.
• Hands-on experience in writing complex SQL queries.
• Basic proficiency in Python to assist in debugging Databricks notebooks.
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn new tools and technologies.
• Team player with a positive attitude.

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field required.

• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to work independently or within a team proactively in a fast-paced AGILE-SCRUM environment.
• Owns success – Takes responsibility for the successful delivery of the solutions.
• Strong desire to improve upon their skills in tools and technologies.
