This is a fantastic opportunity for an emerging artworker who’s eager to grow their craft and build real expertise in packaging production. In this hands‑on role, you’ll work side‑by‑side with experienced artworkers and designers, turning approved creative into polished, print‑ready files across multiple markets and formats. You’ll learn the technical foundations of great packaging - from layout and accuracy to regulatory requirements and printer expectations - while contributing to real projects in a fast‑paced FMCG environment. If you’re detail‑obsessed, curious, and excited to develop into a true packaging specialist, this role will give you the tools, exposure and support to accelerate your career.
Responsibilities
- Create, adapt and finalise print‑ready packaging artwork across multiple SKUs, variants and formats with precision and consistency.
- Translate master designs into production‑ready files, ensuring accurate layout, alignment and formatting for flawless execution.
- Apply key technical elements — cutter guides, die lines, finishes, layers, trapping, emboss/deboss and other print requirements.
- Ensure brand and artwork consistency across ranges and markets by following established guidelines and artwork frameworks.
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to incorporate claims, ingredients, regulatory copy and all required pack updates.
- Work directly with print vendors and suppliers to gather specifications, resolve technical questions and meet all print expectations.
- Conduct meticulous artwork checks (colour accuracy, barcodes, content, pre‑press compliance) and manage version control through the full review and approval process — delivering accurate, compliant work on deadline in a fast‑paced environment.
Experience You'll Bring
- A foundation in artwork, packaging production or a related design/print environment, with an interest in developing deeper technical expertise.
- Basic understanding of print and production requirements, including how artwork is prepared for print.
- Ability to work with cutter guides, die lines and building blocks, with training and support provided.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, ideally with some packaging‑focused exposure.
- Exceptional attention to detail and eagerness to learn, taking on feedback and growing your technical skills quickly.
- Strong organisation and communication skills in English, able to manage multiple artwork tasks, meet deadlines and collaborate effectively with colleagues and partners.
- (Bonus) Familiarity with artwork management systems such as Figma, Esko, Workfront or Wrike.
About us:
We are the people behind method + Ecover. We’ve always done things differently – we’re fearless thinkers, mad scientists and adventurous designers who believe that making soap leads to brave ideas, bold inventions and beautiful bubbles. We started small but we have big plans to make the world a cleaner, greener, more colourful place. We invite everyone to join us as we pioneer a future where doing business is doing good for all.
Let’s get one thing straight – you’re not coming here to just sell soap, or cleaning products. You’re joining us to move the hearts, souls and minds of others all over the world that see the world differently. We think about cleaning as an act of creative expression, a gesture of rebellion, and, yes, an escape from the normal. We take cleaning seriously – but not ourselves.
Alongside our friends Mrs. Meyer’s clean day and babyganics in the US, we are collectively known as Lifestyle Brands and are part of the SC Johnson family.
