KSL is hiring for a Fraud Analyst I. In this role, you will be instrumental in protecting our platform and users from fraudulent activity. You will be responsible for identifying, investigating, and preventing various types of fraud to ensure a safe and trustworthy marketplace experience.
Note: Work configurations are subject to change based on business needs and at company discretion.
This position is an hybrid role that requires the employee to sometimes work at our downtown Salt Lake City site. Specific hybrid schedules will be determined based on business needs and evaluated by managers and senior management.
What you’ll do:
Monitor and analyze data to identify suspicious patterns, trends, and anomalies indicative of fraudulent activity.
Investigate potentially fraudulent network traffic, accounts, transactions, and user behavior using a range of tools and techniques.
Collaborate with other teams, including customer support, engineering, and legal, to resolve fraud incidents and implement preventative measures.
Develop and maintain fraud detection rules and strategies to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
Stay up to date on the latest fraud trends, techniques, and industry best practices.
Prepare reports and presentations summarizing fraud trends, investigation findings, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Contribute to the development and improvement of fraud prevention policies and procedures.
Assist in the implementation and testing of new fraud detection tools and technologies.
Provide support to other team members on fraud-related matters.
What you should have:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience. Specifically:
Log analysis
Understanding of TCP/IP networking
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify patterns and anomalies in large datasets.
Excellent research and investigation skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of online marketplace dynamics and fraud trends is a plus.
Experience with fraud detection systems and tools is a plus.
Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
Physical Demands
Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectively.
Manual dexterity and fine motor skills to operate computer keys and general office equipment. Ability to work on a computer for prolonged periods of time.
Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
Lift, move, and carry up to 20 pounds on occasion.
Compensation
$58,000 – $72,000. Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to evaluation of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with market data.
