Marketing Automation Specialist

This is a key role within the Communications and Content team. The Marketing Automation Specialist will apply marketing principles to build targeted email, SMS, App and event campaigns to drive customer engagement and growth objectives.

This role will build and execute marketing automation programs in Marketo, working alongside member experience and marketing managers to utilise data and analytics to inform segmentation, new journeys and optimise existing journeys.

You’ll work closely with your team leader, constantly striving to exceed expectations and surprise and delight Rest members.

• Collaborate with member experience and other internal stakeholders, to develop campaigns that are targeted, relevant, and on brand.
• Manage email deliverability, database hygiene, subscription management and compliance with opt-in laws and regulations.
• Update campaign and email templates for continued optimisation and/or changing business requirements.
• Work closely with marketing teams and external agency partners to develop best practice email comms and to develop lifecycle mapping and triggers.
• Establish automated campaigns across a range of direct channels including email, push, SMS and in- app messaging.

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and / or demonstrated experience in marketing or related business disciplines

Required experience, understanding or credentials including:

• Demonstrated experience in a similar position.
• Proficient with Marketo (or other marketing automation solution i.e. Hubspot, Braze, Pardot, Eloqua, Adobe Marketing Cloud).
• Experience with cross-channel campaign management (email, SMS, App and events), segmentation, and data analysis.
• Basic HTML/CSS knowledge.
