About Mura
Mura is an early stage, venture-backed startup helping commercial HVAC providers accelerate and automate their billing cycle. Commercial HVAC companies currently manage their billing out of offline PDFs, spreadsheets, email, and third party portals. Mura streamlines the process so that companies get paid faster and are able to scale without hiring more people.
Mura has automated over 100,000 invoices in the past few months and closed 18 customers - including the largest PE-backed operator in the space. The field service software market is a $170B+ opportunity, and we’re building the category-defining company.
Mura’s co-founders previously started LeafLink, a b2b cannabis marketplace that was backed by investors including Founders Fund, Lerer Hippeau, and Thrive Capital. LeafLink now moves 80% of the wholesale cannabis orders in the U.S. ($20B+). The team at Mura deeply understands b2b orders, and is excited to dive into a similar problem in commercial HVAC.
The Role: Sales Development Representative
As a Sales Development Representative at Mura, you will be the engine behind our growth. You aren't just following a script; you are helping build the machine. We are looking for a high-performing "Founding SDR" who can help us define our outbound strategy, experiment with different lead sources, and identify the most effective ways to reach decision-makers in the commercial HVAC space.
This is a high-impact role. You will be responsible for the top of our funnel, from identifying high-potential accounts to qualifying leads and facilitating live transfers or meetings for our leadership team. You should be comfortable not just running an existing system, but identifying gaps in that system and suggesting improvements to our lead-building strategy.
Because we are in an early, high-growth phase, raw effort and persistence make a massive difference. You will be expected to maintain a high volume of outbound activity while ensuring every interaction is high-quality and tailored to the unique needs of HVAC operators.
Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Strategy: Identify and prospect high-quality B2B leads within the commercial HVAC and field service sectors.

Outbound Execution: Execute high-volume outreach via cold calling, email sequences, and LinkedIn to qualify businesses and book meetings.

Funnel Optimization: Collaborate with founders to refine the sales pitch, iterate on lead-building strategies, and improve conversion rates from prospect to qualified lead.

CRM Management: Maintain meticulous records of all sales activities and lead data to ensure a seamless handoff to the closing team.

Market Intelligence: Gather and share feedback from prospects to help the product team understand customer pain points and objections.
Qualifications

Proven Track Record: Experience in B2B lead generation or sales, ideally within a technical or service-oriented sector (lending, SaaS, or e-commerce).

Strategic Mindset: Ability to not just "follow a list," but to think critically about lead quality and outbound strategy.

Exceptional Communication: Strong verbal and written skills; comfortable navigating gatekeepers and engaging with business owners.
