Summary

This position offers an exciting opportunity to drive automation initiatives within critical cloud infrastructure environments. The role focuses on transforming manual infrastructure deployment processes into streamlined, automated pipelines that support enterprise-scale operations. Working within a dynamic team dedicated to advancing automation capabilities, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in orchestrating infrastructure deployments across development, test, and production environments. This position requires a blend of technical expertise in cloud engineering and automation, with a focus on creating efficient, repeatable processes that enhance operational excellence. The role involves hands-on work with command-line interfaces, pull request workflows, and continuous integration and deployment pipelines, all while contributing to the modernization of infrastructure management practices.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement automation solutions for CICD pipelines deploying cloud infrastructure
• Modify and deploy existing Azure cloud infrastructure systems to meet evolving business needs
• Automate the development and deployment of code and infrastructure across dev, test, and production environments
• Perform infrastructure tasks through command-line interfaces and transition them into standardized automation pipelines
• Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers to management systems
• Handle pull requests and related workflows to maintain code quality and deployment standards
• Work as part of a project team to coordinate infrastructure development and determine project scope and limitations
• Review project requests and estimate time and cost required to accomplish infrastructure automation objectives
• Troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve problems
• Maintain and support infrastructure deployments to ensure system reliability and performance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or relevant field required
• 5 years of cloud infrastructure experience required
• 5 years of Python programming experience required
• 3 years of API integration experience required
• 5-7 years of overall relevant experience required
• Cloud infrastructure management and deployment
• Python programming and scripting
• API integration and development
• Azure cloud platform expertise
• CICD pipeline development and management
• Command-line interface proficiency
• Database management and configuration
• Version control and pull request workflows
• Verbal and written communication skills

Additional Details

• Location: Reston, VA (Hybrid: 3x a week)
• Duration: 3 months
• Pay Range*: $59.50 - $67.50 per hour
• Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
• Job Status: Non-Exempt
