JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Social Sciences department is seeking a positive, supportive, and dynamic Criminal Justice Instructor to teach a diverse community of learners. Preference will be given to candidates who are committed to student success, equity, inclusion and the use of the classroom/lab experience to enhance workplace understanding and performance.Teach with excellence a full range of Criminal Justice to both high school and college level classes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in the discipline or in a related discipline and 2 years full-time related occupational experience

OR Associate's degree and 4 years full-time related occupational experience.

Preferred

Higher education/community college/high school teaching experience.

Expected Start Date: Fall Quarter

177-day, 9-month contract.

May include day, evening and/or weekend classes and may involve travel to other campuses.

A teaching demonstration is required as part of the interview process.

Position is contingent upon MCC Board of Governors approval

Hiring process includes passing a background check.
