Welders Job Scope

TIG welding on stainless pipe

Working with 24" piping

Create new piping systems and repair existing ones

Fabricate, install and repair pipes and other piping systems

Assemble and weld metal parts for use in manufacturing or construction projects

Interpret blueprints and schematics

Use a variety of welding tools materials and methods

Observe all relevant safety regulations

Laborers Job Scope

Use hand-held or remote controlled equipments to join, repair, or cut metal parts and products

Study blueprints, sketches or specifications

Calculate the dimensions or parts o be welded

Inspect structures or materials to be welded

Ignite torches or start power supplies

Monitoring the welding process to avoid overheating

Maintain equipment and machinery

Laborer Requirements

Must pass brazer test at on-site shop

Must be willing to travel short distances
