Overview
Join ENERCON's Data Center Mission Critical Division (DCMC) as an Arc Flash Program Engineer / Electrical Engineer. We are a leading team dedicated to supporting a diverse range of clients, including National Laboratories and top Fortune 100 technology and communications companies, all of whom require high availability and innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Power System Analysis & Design: Conduct thorough short circuit calculations and low-to-medium voltage coordination studies. Optimize protective relay settings and perform arc flash studies in compliance with NFPA, IEEE 1584, and other standards. Develop accurate power system models and establish clear standards for studies across various teams.
- Data Collection & Documentation: Carry out on-site data collection to document device types and settings, and to verify important loading information. Create precise engineering documents, such as drawings and analyses, ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards.
- Quality Assurance & Coordination: Execute quality assurance checks on engineering documents produced by team members. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather necessary inputs and tackle challenges with innovative solutions.
- Industry Knowledge & Standards: Stay updated on industry codes and standards to ensure effective safety and design practices within the data center sector.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- 3+ years of experience in power system studies using electrical modeling software, or 6+ years for senior-level candidates.
- PE License or willingness to obtain within two years of employment (incentives available).
- Familiarity with electrical codes, particularly NFPA 70 & 70E, and IEEE 1584.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to recognize growth opportunities and effectively listen to clients.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a commitment to mentoring junior engineers and fostering a positive work culture.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Willingness to travel 10%-20% as needed, with trips varying in length based on project and client demands.
Pay Range
USD $93,100.00 - USD $147,200.00 per year.
