Leidos’ Defense Systems RF Systems Portfolio is seeking a Research Scientist to join a talented team within the RF Systems Portfolio. Candidates in this role will be a part of a diverse team of scientists, engineers, and analysts supporting advanced radar systems research and development in a high-fidelity modeling and simulation environment. Candidates will be expected to set-up, test, analyze, and evaluate radar and weapon system performance using modeling and simulation of air defense systems.

Primary Responsibilities
Support M&S configuration, testing, and data analysis activities of radar and weapon systems to determine performance capabilities
Demonstrate strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills in support of analysis products and presentations
Work with a team to find solutions to novel, complex, and non-traditional questions
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics, or other technical degree from an ABET-accredited institution plus 2+ years of demonstrated performance in M&S activities
Proficient in programming (Python preferably, MATLAB, etc.)
Must be a US citizen, possess and able to maintain an active Secret Clearance
Must be a resident of Huntsville, AL or willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.
Preferred Qualifications
Possess and able to maintain an active Top-Secret Clearance
Radar/Air Defense Systems M&S Experience
Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics, or other technical degree from an ABET-accredited institution
Experience with large military networks (IBCS, CEC, C2BMC, etc)
Knowledge of radar algorithms and techniques (search, track, discrimination, etc)
Experience working in a Linux operating environment

Pay Range:
Pay Range $69,550.00 - $125,725.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
